1) Recognize the reasons some people are difficult to work with and live with

2) Describe healthy behavioral and communication strategies to manage difficult situations and difficult people

3) Provide ideas related to boundaries and self-care in the context of dealing with difficult people

About the Host


Casey J. Coker is employed as Psychotherapist/Clinical Behavioral Health Trainer for Bronson in the department of Community Health, Equity and Inclusion. Casey has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Ferris State University and a Master of Arts degree in Counselor Education and Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University. She also completed a Master of Science Degree from Purdue University in Human Development and Family Studies. Currently, Casey is focusing on educating people on the importance of health equity, inclusive work, cultural understanding, interpersonal communication, and mindful resilience, Casey has a number of publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at local, state and national professional conferences.


You will probably find Casey enjoying a good book and a nice cup of coffee at Bookbug in Kalamazoo.
