Saturday defeat in Manhattan felt like the end of the era. If losing at home to West Virginia was rock bottom, then the way TCU Football played in the Little Apple feels like the seventh circle of hell. I don even know how to write these even more it all so depressing. All that Gary Patterson has done does not get erased by an number of or sub- seasons, but the fanbase absolutely positively has the right to be frustrated, angry, and find the performances of the last several weeks completely unacceptable. This doesn have to be either or: you can appreciate all that has been done as you bemoan the current state of things. It okay to feel not okay.I could go over the stats and tell you all about everything Deuce Vaughn did (160 yards from scrimmage) or how a one-legged Skylar Thompson continuously made plays when he needed to. I could talk about the brewing quarterback controversy that isn Max Duggan is clearly not 100% but Chandler Morris didn exactly steal the job either or how worried we should be about Zach Evans. I could tell you that we should wipe the slate clean or that we should trust the man that brought us to this point, but ultimately that not a conversation that going to go any further than the internet, and the powers that be will make whatever decision they see fit whenever they see fit to make it. There so much that could be said, there some that should be said, and there a lot that we are all thinking. But at the end of the day, this team is broken, and there not much that can be done in the here and now to fix it.I love TCU and I have and will continue to support TCU Football. I came to Fort Worth when this program was a literal joke, and a 1-11 campaign my freshman year didn have me wavering from my decision https://www.thfoutlet.com/Zimbalist_Odhams_Jersey-175. I can be frustrated and angry and want to see things change and not feel compelled to give up; and whether Gary Patterson wants to stay for three more months or three more years won change my commitment to TCU Athletics. I would absolutely love to see some staff changes and bring fresh eyes and an outsiders perspective to the program https://www.thfoutlet.com/Luke_Dodds_Jersey-161, but if GP wants to bide his time and ride off into the sunset with his buddies I mean, okay. He earned the right. I worried about what that might mean for the future of the program, but that not really something we have a say in, is it?Anyway, about Saturday in the Little Apple: things went kind of how we expected. The TCU defense played well on early downs but gave up far too many big plays on third and long. As the game went on, things degraded, and it was clear that the players weren giving the effort that we expect from TCU Football. The Cats could pretty much write their own script on offense, and the TCU offense put up little fight in letting the K State defense control the tempo on that side of the ball, either. In fact, defensive lineman Felix Anudike-Uzomah tied or maybe broke the single-season sack record; they reported him as having six, but the stat broadcast says seven. That a new low.The Frogs have just 13 yards on their first two series, offensive sets that comprised 11 total plays. Things didn get much better https://www.thfoutlet.com/Antonio_Ortiz_Jersey-5, and a clearly hampered Max Duggan was replaced by Chandler Morris after halftime, something a section of TCU fans have wanted to see but something that didn exactly change the Frogs fortunes. The Frogs went scoreless for the first time in the red zone this season, twice, and outside of a garbage time touchdown, avoided six points much like they did in the second half of last week loss to West Virginia. The safety was cool, but the problems remain, on both sides of the ball. With Baylor, Oklahoma State, and Iowa State still on the schedule, and even a home game against Kansas feeling dicey, a bowl game feels about as much of a long shot as a Big 12 Championship berth at this point. The Frogs are 3-5 and in danger of having their worst season since 2013 (4-8). As Mason would say, TCU Football is down bad.Well, I sure yll have thoughts too, so let m rip in the comments. I still love my Frogs, but this is really hard to watch.
