As a model, Kate Upton has seen her fair share of breathtaking destinations. But her recent journey stands in a category of its own. Upton, in partnership with Canada Goose, travelled to the remote Canadian town of Churchill, Manitoba aka the 'Polar Bear Capital of The World'' on behalf of Polar Bears International PBI, a non - profit organization dedicated to the conservation of the earth's most beloved bears. www.canadagoosesaler.com
Sleeveless down - filled cotton - blend canvas overalls in black. Adjustable Canada Goose Coats elasticized logo - woven shoulder straps with press - release fastening. Embroidered logo patch and zippered pocket at chest.
Through this experience, Upton says she's learned that sea ice is integral to not only the bears' survival but the planet's. "Polar bears are the messengers of climate threats we all face," she says. "They need sea ice as a platform to hunt on, and people around the world need sea ice to help keep our planet at a stable temperature锟斤拷so what happens in the Arctic doesn't stay in the Arctic." She's also quick to rattle off worrying stats about the bears' plight: "There are 19 different polar bear populations across the Arctic, with 19 different stories," she says.
Instead, it is about existing in nature (whether a forest, park, lake, or a garden) and letting the sights, sounds, and smells transport you into a state of mindfulness and meditation. We all know how good being in nature makes us feel. Whether we lie in the grass, dip our toes into a stream, or breath in the aromatherapy of clean air, focusing on these simple experiences can help us relax and think more clearly.
