Japanese label AURALEE and New Balance have teamed up to release a sophisticated take on the popular
basketball oxford silhouette.AURALEE’s take on the New Balance 550 arrives in an Off-White “Pistachio Ecru” hue constructed in premium leather. Its tongue, which
traditionally features a basketball pattern graphic logo has been replaced for a solid piece of leather to give the shoe a more minimal and clean design.
Earth Day is taking on a new meaning for the sneaker world this year, as the introduction of dozens of
new sustainable and environmentally-friendly technologies and materials have been introduced by nearly every footwear brand under the sun in the past year. Among these new
developments is Asics’ use of recycled materials in its shoes, cutting back on waste in the production line, as well as a new solution-based dyeing process to reduce water
usage in the process.
Vans has teamed up with The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) celebrating art, culture, and shared Californian roots with the Los Angeles cultural institution. This is the
second collection of their partnership.The collection includes the brand’s most iconic silhouettes, the
Sk8-Hi, Slip-On and Authentic, decorated with artwork from California-based artists Judy Baca, Brenna Youngblood and Frances Stark. Each artist has their personal touch on the
skate shoes from embroidered names to catchphrases.
Converse expands their latest lineup by revealing a new capsule that includes both the high and low silhouettes.Each model comes constructed with vintage washed canvas uppers pairs with yellowed midsoles for a classic 70s look. Blue and Red piping around the midsole and Converse branding at the heel, side panels and insoles completes the collection.
